Keep Your Equipment Safe While You Care For Others

Regardless of your medical arena, you work hard to help people have lasting, quality lives. That’s certainly a noble profession, but it can become a little less efficient without the right thermal management concept. You rely on your equipment to help you do your job, including some pretty advanced technology; make sure that you treat it right with high-quality cooling designs that actually work.

The reality is that traditional thermal management, like compressed air and air conditioning, can only do so much. When you want a more functional experience with advanced thermal management, ask about our range of options. From high-efficiency heat exchangers to passive protection in heat pipe assemblies, we have tools to help you protect your gear.

Heat Pipes Provide Powerful Passive Thermal Management

One of our favorite cooling concepts is the heat pipe. This method, first pioneered by the Los Alamos National Laboratory, uses a fully-enclosed tube that contains a working fluid. One end of this pipe makes contact with the heated element, and as the fluid starts to accept thermal energy, it eventually transfers to a gas.

At this point, the gas travels to the other end of the heat pipe assembly. Here it is allowed to cool, shifting back to a liquid; this cycle continues to repeat, providing powerful passive thermal management. They can also be easily customized, so if you have hard-to-reach areas, ask about whether heat pipes are right for you.
